TLC for Moreton Bay’s road network
More than 20,000 square metres of Moreton Bay’s roads are scheduled for repairs as part of council’s on-going commitment to effectively manage the region’s road network.
Spokesperson for Asset Construction and Maintenance Councillor Adam Hain said as Moreton Bay attracts more visitors each year it was important the region had a reliable local road network to cater for the growing community needs.
“Road safety is a priority for this council and these works will address important maintenance and road safety issues ensuring our community can get around our region safely and with ease,” Cr Hain said.
“As works get underway, please heed the safety advice of construction crews and signage.”
Works are expected to commence next month and completed by May 2019, weather permitting.
The road upgrade is part of council’s $109.5million investment in road infrastructure during 2018/19.
