Hazard Reduction Burn - Caboolture & Elimbah
Moreton Bay Regional Council will conduct a hazard reduction burn tomorrow (Saturday 14 July) at Parish Road Park, weather permitting.
Residents in Caboolture and surrounding areas may notice smoke during and after the burn.
Also Moreton Bay Regional Council will conduct a hazard reduction burn on Monday 16 July at Wattlebird Road, weather permitting.
Residents in Elimbah and surrounding areas may notice smoke during and after the burn.
People should keep away from the burn during and in the days following the event.
Asthmatics and people sensitive to smoke are advised to stay indoors and keep their windows and doors closed.
Motorists in the area should drive to the conditions. Pets and livestock should be secured, if necessary.
Council hazard reduction burn crews work closely with the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services to undertake planned burns.
