Don’t let your Local Hero miss out on free cash up for grabs
Member for Glass House Andrew Powell is excited to announce the winners of the second round of his 2018 ‘Local Heroes’ grants. Four lots of $250 are available for individuals or groups in the electorate, four times a year, and Mr Powell is very pleased with the calibre of this round’s applications.
Round two’s winners were the Palmwoods Netball Club, ‘MooFest’, Studio 23 and Jaymes Roser from the Maleny Swimming Club.
However, there is something missing from this roundup, and that is applicants from the southern end of the Glass House electorate!
“My Local Heroes grants are available for any individual or community group in the electorate, however most applications I receive are from the northern end of the electorate” said Mr Powell.
“In fact, I did not receive one single application this round from any suburb south of Glasshouse Mountains”.
“To the southern end of the electorate, we miss you!” remarked Mr Powell.
If you live in locales such as Beerburrum, Woodford, D’Aguilar, Delaneys Creek, Wamuran, Elimbah, Mount Mee, Ocean View, Rocksberg, Moorina, Upper Caboolture and surrounds, this is your call to action to apply for the next round of Local Heroes grants.
“I’d love to be swamped with applicants from these locations, because I know there are plenty of Local Heroes in these communities.”
“There are still two rounds (eight lots of $250) up for grabs in my Local Heroes grants this year. Head over to my website at http://www.andrewpowell.com.au to apply,” Mr Powell concluded.
