Farm Fantastic 2018 set to shine
A beautiful clear morning across the South East has organisers smiling as the gates swing open for the opening day of the first major Field Day event for 2018.
The fine weather is forecast to continue over the weekend with bumper crowds expected at Farm Fantastic at the Caboolture Showgrounds. ‘Get there early and make sure you wear comfortable shoes, slap on some sunscreen and a hat’ is the advice being offered to visitors who are likely to travel from across South Queensland for one of Australia’s favourite field days.
There is likely to be plenty of interest in the major door prize of a Kubota Zero Turn Mower, valued over $7000 thanks to David Evans Group, especially after all the recent wet weather and sunny days that followed.
More than 200 companies are exhibiting, displaying a large variety of products and services for the farm as well as domestic and acreage living. Everything from the latest in farm machinery and vehicles through to sheds, tanks, tools and mowers, PLUS products and services for the backyard. There are gourmet foods, produce, plants, wines, and so much more to be found in the Destination Living Pavilion.
There is a huge line up of entertainment all weekend, including Backyard Living Presentations to get your garden growing with well-known horticulturists, Claire Bickle, Noel Burdette and Paul Plant, with tips and tricks for everything from edible plants to managing backyard chooks.
Farm Fantastic Expo opens today from 9am for three huge days. Event information, exhibitor details and product listings along with how to get there and entertainment times and content is on the web site www.farmfantastic.com.au . A free shuttle bus will be running from the centre of Caboolture near the railway station to the Expo with details via Translink or on the event web site.
