Smashing Scores Caboolture Sports Football Club Juniors

In a show of courage and conviction through this transitional year, from 20 years with the Sunshine Coast league to new-found status with Brisbane League, Caboolture Football Club has successfully fielded 11 Junior teams.

Of those 11 teams, seven finished in the top two of their division which not only resulted in being promoted to the advanced Division but eligibility to play the finals. As such, last weekend saw seven junior teams play the finals with winning results for four teams.

Finishing the season in very close games were three teams with two having to come to the final result in penalty shootouts. Supportive, friendly and very large crowds at the junior games brought a mention by the Football Brisbane officials and ground officials of hosting clubs. As a result of the 2016 Season, the Junior teams of the Caboolture Sports Football Club are now firmly represented in the Division 1 level of the Brisbane Football League.

Mr. Paul Shorter, Technical Director of Caboolture Sports Football Club, said, ”It has been a very successful season and, as Coach, I have seen so many boys and girls develop to new levels. I'm already fielding calls from players who would like to play for our Club next season.”

Mr. Andrew Aranovitch, Coach of the Junior Girls, remarked, “Our U13 and U14 Girls' teams have been playing the top level Division in the Brisbane League and won the finals.

It is certainly very exciting to be able to coach these top level girls. As a Club, we are exploring different avenues to provide further support for the development of our female players”.

Trials have been organised for all interested players, and will take place in November, as part of the preparation for the 2017 season. New players welcome.
